update + blog recommendations

Hello, everyone!

I’m going to be very busy next month, so I won’t be doing a feature. Instead, I will be making posts recommending tumblrs that my followers might enjoy every week or so (similar to what dyskoimesis has been doing recently). These will be mostly Japan-related blogs, but I’ll probably also include a few that I just like. I decided to do it this way because when I try making a list all at once I always forget to include some of my favourites.

Anyway…

Today’s recommendations:

pamandjapan - Extremely informative and interesting posts with lovely images about many different aspects of Japanese culture. I especially like her posts about food and folklore!

okiya - A beautiful geisha blog with a nice mix of modern and vintage images, mostly photographs. Also posts fascinating videos/documentaries from time to time that are really worth watching.
